Grand Tour Shopping loves to make you discover new exhibitions, especially the one related to fashion. That's why I suggest to see, at the Scuderie del Quirinale, up to august 31st, an important retrospective on the mexican artist Frida Kahlo (1907-1954). You will be able to see 160 paintings and drawings. Most of them are self portraits where you can appreciate her taste for traditions, colours and her way to interprete Surrealism. I also loved the videos because you can understand a lot about the personality of Frida Kahlo: her vision, her tastes and her amazing fashion style that inspired a lot of designers all over the world, such as Etro that is one of the sponsor of the exhibition.
Capuano, a treasure in Rome
If you choose to become a client of www.grandtourshopping.com, I will take you to discover Capuano. An elegant atelier for jewels, precious objects and silver. I will introduce you to Sergio Capuano, an engineer with artistic sensibilities and his son Federico. The Capuano family started in Naples a long time ago. They are internationally known also for their relationship with Pietro Capuano, dandy and jewelrer in Capri, knicknamed Chantecler. In Rome their story started with Peppino and Vincenzo who opened an atelier in 1960. Few years ago Capuano Atelier designed for me a lovely ring that I wear often. Here below few examples of their new collection. My clients always appreciate the quality of the craftmanship. The atelier is in via Condotti 61/a inside Palazzo Caffarelli.
ITALIAN GLAMOUR IN RIO DE JANEIRO
Enrico Quinto and Paolo Tinarelli are two great collectors of haute couture and pret-à-porter. In Rome they also run a great flea market called "Rigattieri per Hobby", every sunday, in piazza della Marina where I take my clients from www.grandtourshopping.com. They have been invited in Rio de Janeiro. Their exhibition called "Italian Glamour" is in the Cidades Das Artes and will run until the July 6th. You will be able to admire 130 dresses from Emilio Pucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, Gattinoni. A big part is also dedicated to Armani, Versace, Krizia, Dolce &Gabbana, Alberta Ferretti and Prada. If you are in Brazil, don't miss it.
